G and M - what a wonderful wonderful addition to Ian's Journey - the Leap of Faith chapter illustrates your love for God and your trust in Him - and He was guiding you all the whole way. You are both so loved and Ian will be forever remembered and loved because of your effort in this loving and poignant keepsake of his life. Can't wait to see you guys again - and give you big hugs. Much love til then -

I am very sorry that i never had the chance to meet your son Ian. It dawned on me that your move to Florida was around the time I began to make Florida my winter home for many winters. I had always knew you were a transplant but I thought you had been there much longer. I remember your numerous attempts to get me out on the water but I was always reluctant to go out unless the weather was perfect. What a mistake that was.. You also were so overtly friendly and accommodating that it made me always want to return to the Keys. It was people like you and Marcia that gave me as much enjoyment as did the natural surroundings. My sister Molly always enjoyed your company and still has a good laugh about her autographed boob given to her at Slimey's if I remember the story correctly. Anyways, I want you to know that your tragic and incomprehensible loss has had a dramatic and life changing aspect to many people. Your love, kindness and willingness to let so many grieve with you and for your continued dedication and memory to your son is just remarkable. I have learned to appreciate life more for the small things and to appreciate how fragile life can be. I only wish I had learned this earlier in my life so that I could have been more of a friend during your tragedy. I felt like I let you and Marcia down by not being there for you. I truly enjoy reading your remembrance of Ian and your family journey and I look forward to seeing both of you sometime in the near future. I really miss seeing you and Dave come riding in on Dave's little skiff to see Case and Davidson at the Lorelei. Those were special times and I will never forget them. Your a good man! Marcia is very lucky to have someone as strong as you by her side.

Love the photo of Mark & Ian. I think about if Ian had met Jim. That would've been a hoot!

Eric and I think of you both every year at this time. Ian was such a joyful little guy when we knew him and we had so much fun when he and Nathan played together. We didn't not get to watch him grow-up, but knew how much you loved him! God Bless you both.
