I think it's a wonderful idea to keep a website for Ian. I'm just so sorry for the loss of your child. I know how horrible it is. Peace and comfort be with you both.

Just saw this in the paper honoring his birthday. Sad story and my heart and prayers go out to you. Losing a child leaves you with a jagged shaped hole in your heart. Overtime the jagged edges become smooth however that whole will always remain. God Bless you and in due time will you be reunited with your son.

Ian, I know it’s been a while since I’ve added anything to your bio here. I haven’t forgotten, it’s just now I’m to the point where every little story requires a lot more research, and also the help of your friends who were a part of that story to provide me with details to make sure I get it right. I’ll try my best to get the next, unnamed chapter posted within the next couple months. In the meantime, I’ll continue my Sunday morning posts on your Facebook page.

- Love and miss you always – Dad (and Mom)

Gary and Marcia,
My heart aches for you guys. I am sitting here crying my eyes out after seeing all the pics. Brought back some of my memories of Ian. I loved that child! He always made me laugh! What an awesome job you did putting this site together. I miss you both and hope to see you sometime. Love you, Mary

"Those we love can never be forgotten... For as long as there's a thought, a memory... they live on in our hearts and they remain." What a beautiful tribute to Ian. God bless you both!

Beautiful site. I spent time on it a few months back and Mark asked if I signed the guest book. I'm doing it now!
I wish I could have known Ian, he has the best uncle and parents!

I miss him a lot. I remember growing up with him always around and always giving me a hard time but in a brotherly way. I especially miss all the Christmas's we had at my grandmas house.

Love you all. And thank you for making this website.

I did not know your son but I understand your pain. I lost my son (stepson, but I never looked at it that way) when he was 24. Oddly my husband passed from cancer on the same day and almost the same time but 14 years later. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

Ian was my son,Jared's (now 14), first hero! Jared attended St. James Preschool and Ian went there as an intern. Jared came home ea h time Ian visited with wonder in his eyes and full of stories about the things he and "Big Ian" did. He wrestled with him, played cars and countless other activities. "Big Ian is so strong! He can lift me over his head" was an exclamation I heard so many times.

The Ian I met working at CS will forever have a special place in my heart because of the kindness and attention he showed my little boy!

I blow a kiss and say thank you each time I pass his marker.

God bless you in this journey.

What a shame to see this man get taken from all of us so soon. This website is spectacular and we can all return to here and share memories of the old days.. Ian was one of a kind.. Funny, and a devoted man to sports.. I was able to attend school with him at ics and cshs.. He shall be missd
